Future of Flight Invites Public to 787 Rollout Celebration on 07/08/07

Mukilteo, Wash – June 29, 2007 – The Future of Flight Aviation Center is inviting the general public to celebrate the Boeing 787 rollout on Sunday, July 8, 2007. Planned activities include live music, face painters, balloon artists, and a chance to watch the rollout ceremony live at 3:30pm on its large gallery screens.

As an added bonus on July 8, 2007, Rolls-Royce will have their Boeing 747 engine test-bed aircraft on display at the Future of Flight, which will allow the general public a close-up view of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner launch engine, the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000.

The Future of Flight will be open to the public between 9am and 5pm. There will be no Boeing Tours offered on rollout day. Tickets to the Future of Flight rollout celebration are available for $7.87, are limited, and must be purchased in advance either online at www.futureofflight.org, by calling 1-800-464-1476, or by stopping by the Future of Flight at 8415 Paine Field Blvd., Mukilteo, WA 98275 by July 7, 2007.

Overflow parking for the event is located at Sterling Business Park adjacent to the Future of Flight on the corner of Paine Field Blvd. and 84 th Street and at the Mukilteo Presbyterian Church located at 3 rd and 84 th Street just west of the Sterling lot.

The Future of Flight Aviation Center is a unique learning and interpretive facility designed to let visitors experience the marvel of commercial jet aviation and production. It celebrates the historic accomplishments of the last 50 years since the first flight of the Boeing 707 and highlights the technological possibilities for powered, winged flight during the next 50 years.
