Santa Arrives by Air at the Future of Flight on December 17, 2006

Mukilteo, Wash – December 7, 2006 – Santa arrives in style in a Beechcraft QueenAir at 11am on Sunday, December 17, 2006 on the newly completed Paine Field, Kilo One taxiway at the Future of Flight Aviation Center in Mukilteo. As part of the one year anniversary, Santa and the Future of Flight Aviation Center & Boeing Tour are celebrating by inviting everyone to enjoy the Future of Flight Aviation Center & Boeing Tour for FREE. No advance reservations will be taken, and Boeing Tours will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis. Guests must be 4 feet tall to take the Boeing Tour. Tours operate at 9am, 10am, 11am and 1pm, 2pm, 3pm.

As a bonus, both gift stores, The Boeing Store and the Future of Flight Store will offer storewide discounts and FREE gift wrapping. Strolling carolers will be on hand and complimentary cake, coffee and cocoa will be served. Pictures with Santa will be available for a small fee.

The Future of Flight Aviation Center & Boeing Tour is open from 8:30am – 5:30pm daily except Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

The Future of Flight Aviation Center is a unique learning and interpretive facility designed to let visitors experience the marvel of commercial jet aviation and production. Itcelebrates the historic accomplishments of the last 50 years since the first flight of the Boeing 707 and highlights the technological possibilities for powered, winged flight during the next 50 years.

The 73,000-square-foot Future of Flight facility includes a 28,000-square-foot Aviation Gallery with interactive exhibits and displays, 9,000-square-foot, rooftop observation deck overlooking Paine Field, Boeing Tour Center, conference space for 250 people, special event space for groups of up to 750 people , a 240-seat theater, 125-seat café, Future of Flight Store and Boeing Store.

The Future of Flight Aviation Center also features Aviation Zones with hands-on exhibits, videos, graphics and interactive stations where visitors can design their own airplanes. The facility also encompasses The Boeing Tour – the only public tour of a commercial jet assembly plant in North America.
