Everett, Wash – The new Future of Flight Aviation Center & Boeing Tour, which opens Sat., Dec. 17, has won the award for “Best Public/Private Project of 2005” from Northwest Construction magazine. The award will be presented at 7:30 am at the Edgewater Hotel in Seattle on Dec. 6 and featured in the magazine’s December issue.

The $23.5-million Future of Flight project was entered in the annual contest by its general contractor, the Howard S. Wright Construction Co. The new facility is a public-private venture of the Snohomish County Public Facilities District, Snohomish County Airport (Paine Field), The Boeing Company and the Future of Flight Foundation. "The result of this great public- private effort," say's County Executive Aaron Reardon, "is a facility that offers outstanding local economic and worldwide educational value."
